Frequently asked questions

A dental bridge is a dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap with artificial teeth. It’s supported by either natural teeth or dental implants. Bridges help restore your smile, improve chewing and speaking, and prevent remaining teeth from shifting out of place.

The process typically requires two appointments. During the first visit, we prepare the supporting teeth by reshaping them and taking impressions to create a custom fit. A temporary bridge will protect the area until your permanent bridge is ready. At the second appointment, we’ll fit and secure your bridge, making sure it’s comfortable and blends naturally with your smile.

Taking care of your dental bridge is simple. Maintain a good oral hygiene routine by brushing twice a day, flossing daily (including under the bridge), and using a fluoride toothpaste. Regular dental checkups will ensure your bridge remains in great shape and your surrounding teeth and gums stay healthy. Avoid chewing on hard objects to prevent damage to your bridge.
